Description


1. Introduction

FR3 Drone RID Reader is a fixed-installation drone detection system equipped with an integrated UAV management and control platform. By decoding and analyzing Remote Identification (RID) signals actively broadcast by drones, the device can monitor multi-dimensional information within its coverage area, including serial number, drone model, position, flight path, and pilot location.

The device is suitable for low-altitude security applications in scenarios such as political core zones, border security, military restricted zones, military management areas, power and petrochemical facilities, and airports. It supports standalone offline operation for flexible and rapid deployment with mobile responsiveness, meeting diverse scenario requirements. It can also be networked with other equipment—including TDOA devices, countermeasure systems, and deception devices—to form a more comprehensive low-altitude defense network.

Note: This device is only effective for drones that are equipped with RID broadcasting capability and have it enabled.

2. Composition

The product mainly consists of four parts :  main unit, RF antenna, power adapter, and mounting bracket — as shown in the table below:

3. Functions

  • Drone Monitoring:Acquires droneinformation within the monitoring range, including serial number, model, position (latitude/longitude, azimuth), take-off point, return point, flight trajectory, and remote controller position (latitude/longitude, azimuth).
  • Unique Identifier Recognition:Identifies the drone’s unique serial number to confirm its unique identity.;
  • Drone LocalizationProvides Dronelocation information, with real-time display of drone position (latitude/longitude), azimuth, and distance (relative to the device location).
  • PilotLocalizationProvides pilot (remote controller) location information, with real-time display of pilot position (latitude/longitude), azimuth, and distance (relative to the device location).
  • Multi-Target Tracking:Tracks multiple drones simultaneously and displays multiple droneflight trajectories.
  • Electronic Map:Supports switching between electronic maps, including Google Maps, Gaode, Bingand Baidu.
  • Multi-Device Networking:Devices can be networked and connected to the backend management platform, supporting multi-device networking for wide-area coverage.
